A conversation on global governance AWID FORUM 2024 People are taking the streets to express themselves, connecting the Palestinian struggle with Yemen, Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq, Western Sahara, Sudan and Congo, and other struggles, environment, LGBTQ+, and so on and so forth. Because we know that these struggles are interconnected. And I think one of the spaces that we have within the UN and we need to mobilize a bit more is the intersectionality of these struggles together.

So it doesn't matter whether you're a poor country or a rich country, your power will be the same. And it was supposed to work for development, but now it's been nearly 30 years and we see that development definitely has not come from there.
