Had a really cool idea for a time sensitive "reality telling on fools" take on Telemetry (the psychic ability to delve into the past of a certain object or area based on touch/proximity) that I wanted to give a character in #Axiom, my #superhero #oc setting.
So Pop Up is now a minor hero in Nexus.

Getting a bit late for me, but was thinking about my #Axiom nod to @zackdavisson.com today.
The character I originally planned was too Tezuka - Black Jack but Yokai patients.
Think I might go "Mushishi if by Shigeru Mizuki" instead - a man who judges and traps darker wayward spirits inside a book.
"Nine city sized districts. Three dimensional gates per district. Perfect, organized, ordered.
Easy to maintain. Easy to track.
A city, a cosmos. A petri dish.
All we need do is sit back. Monitor. Take samples.
Nexus is perfect for the future plans of the American Empire, boys..."

Gay men. Lesbians. Trans heroes and villains. Prominent Asexual/Aromantic figures. People who are queer coded to a point where you're not sure if it's SUBtext or TEXT.

I just thought of a very horrific sub-story in the #Axiom setting that really explores the horrific depths of what the setting can do regarding relevancy.
And it's all thanks to I HAVE NO MOUTH AND I MUST SCREAM...
Still thinking about The Sapphire Knight, a superhero in Axiom who is basically one of my Iron Man parallels except for a few details -The Knight persona is a legacy -The current one took on the role after her brother refused it, which caused him to go full entitlement on her and begin his villain arc -She's got a Masters in Engineering -The suit itself is possessed by a very eloquent/erudite ghost -It's mystically empowered -Her ex-girlfriend is the primary mechanic on the suit -Her best friend accidentally became a living magical tome and aids in keeping it epowered with new magical concepts -The current Knight may also be sleeping with the other two living members of the team So, y'know... typical shit in Axiom
Instead of working on pretty much any other detail for #Axiom, my #oc #superhero setting I'm developing, I've only been able to focus on one older character.
And that's the current heir to THE SAPPHIRE KNIGHT mantle - the pilot of a mystical gemstone armor suit with modern tech and enchantments.
I fully need you guys to understand that *THIS IS THE VIBE* with quite a few character designs for my Superhero WIP, #Axiom.
This, *ALL* of this, is what I envision specifically for BALLISTA, my freelance Agent for Hire of the downtrodden you can only find in the city of Nexus.

Worldbuilding and character development is on pause while I figure out how I want The Crimson Lady to look when I eventually arrange art of her.

In the first version of The Echelon, the Avengers/Justice League equivalent, there's a guy called IRONHIDE (turns into a Steel Colossus).

GEOMETRIC (AKA Geo) - Spacial manipulation powers based entirely around geometry. Whenever he warps space into different shapes, the dimensionality within said geometric shapes warps to fit the new form.
Plastic Man, DC's preeminent stretchy hero.
Ditto the... *everything* pokemon.
Well, I couldn't help myself.
I needed a stretchy hero for #Axiom, and I really couldn't help myself.
I inadvertently another Tomboy hero named BUBBLE GUM. Stretchy powers, a bit of shapeshifting. And bubble gum themed coloring (including hair and flesh mid-power usage).

Just a kind and witty but also somewhat spooky rat themed street level hero with a ghostly rat vibe from the swarm of spirits possessing him.
This is not a good hour for my brain to go "Here are the pieces to the design of the superhero who is possessed by a swarm of rat sprits that are slowly turning him into an actual rat man".
