Canadian heavy oil price falls, selling at largest discount in 18 months | CBC News Canadian heavy oil prices are plunging this week following the upheaval in Venezuela over the weekend and the prospect of more Venezuelan oil imports to the United States.

Good thing my UCP Finance Minister banked on low oil prices when we created the budget so this wouldn't impact Albertans.

Oh wait. We didn't do that. Nor did we diversify the economy to handle drops in prices either.

So, one of the UCP's recent threats was that if we don't build them ANOTHER pipeline to the west coast, they're going to start shipping Alberta oil to the Puget Sound via the US where it can be loaded on tankers to the far east. I have questions. 1/who knows?
