Good point Adam. The onus should be on the people who are responsible for the injustice, not the victims of it. #AccessibilityIsAHumanRight

Everyone has different needs to access essential services. Your needs are not a burden. If we can't fulfill, we will tell you why, and try to help you find someone who can.

Even if these corporations and governments care less about #a11y (especially in North America), we all must continue the work and maintain the movement.
We got a long way to go. By our own, but united.

And when it's your ears that do your seeing, how is that any different? Why should I be left out? Sorry my eyes don't work I guess?
I have peripheral neuropathy. Some days I have as few as 4 usable fingers. I still alt, because I'm visually impaired, and WE MATTER. #AccessibilityIsAHumanRight
A screen grab of a list I've recently been put on. The list image is a clipart of ab (ostensibly) Caucasian woman with brown hair, stood sinister, hair parted on the left, in the classic "Bad dog!/Bad child!" posture, right hand up with a single finger raised, hand on hip, wearing a pink sweater, gray skirt, and cream background. The name of the list is "ALT Text Scolds," Moderation List by @tmece.bsky.social, and the text of the list reads as follows: "This is NOT for anyone encouraging use of ALT text. It's for the if you don't use ALT text you're a bad person" people who won't accept any explanation about why someone might not have the capacity for adding ALT text to their images."
What can I say? They're right. I'm a hater and a gatekeeper. But I'm also God's Favorite Princess, and the most interesting girl in the world.
But the simple fact of the matter is, there's #Alt4Me, and #AccessibilityIsAHumanRight. If that makes me an ALT Text Scolder, I wear that badge with pride.
