Well I officially call this painting done. 🖼️Currently it’s living in my office (excuse the mess 🧹).

Painting progression... Started working on filling in the details on the turtle. Added more depth to the sand and water. Refining the colors in the sky and the brilliance of the Sun. I’m really pleased with how this project is turning out! 😍

Painting update: did some more detail work as well as drew in some of the placeholders for the palm fronds. The back lighting from the morning sun makes it difficult to see some of the work I’ve done, but it’s coming along steadily.

My recent painting is in a contest at AdventHealth Daytona Beach hospital. I’m not sure why it’s left off, but I had to explain how my art illuminated my faith. My response was that God gives us grace with each new day.

Slowly but surely… I’m getting more done on the picture. I’m hoping to have it done before the end of this month. Please note that it actually looks better farther away… sometimes I don’t feel like I’m very objective when I’m looking at these paintings in progress.
Here’s the latest painting update. Right now it’s just layering different colors on top of other colors to achieve the effects that I want to achieve.
I hope to be done in the next couple to three weeks but I’m in no hurry.
