Black Friday Darren's at it again!
Just kidding, Dave, we love you and Wadjet Eye Games. 😉

As @darmato.bsky.social mentioned during his #AdvX25 keynote talk, he's back on the market for voiceover acting work! And Guybrush Threepwood isn't the only voice he can do... 😉
@jamespatton.bsky.social DuskPunk is magnificent! I've been at it ever since #AdvX25 and I'm only sad to have reached the end. I hope DLC of some kind emerges, as I kinda want to play this in perpituity.
An extremely satisfying and engaging game, and I look forward to discovering its other routes!

Loved that multiple people at #AdvX25 asked about our experience with @godotengine.org on Ashwood Conspiracy and that many are considering using it or already are. The future looks bright for Godot ☺️

Everyone mentioning Pratchett as a huge inspiration in the comedy talk at #Advx25 was yet another confirmation that #Discworld and Adventures go hand in hand perfectly ❤️

Back from 2 wonderful days at #AdvX25 ! It was an honor to be part of @adventurex.bsky.social and so happy to see such a fantastic comeback of the event. A massive well done to Tom and Amy and everyone else involved in making it happen. Already can't wait for next year!
Just got back from AdventureX #advx25 and decided to venture on Bluesky, at last! *Always* a fantastic event!
I'm Chris, Italian indie game programmer and designer. Love narrative games and am currently in-between projects at @stuckinattic.bsky.social after we released Near-Mage!
Hello, everyone!
it’s a wrap for #AdvX25
what a wonderful conference to have back and at what capacity!
would totally recommend
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4.69/5.0)
What an incredible #AdvX25! It was lovely to see old friends again, some who we've known right from the start of our own adventure developing Foolish Mortals & great to meet so many new people too. A massive well done to everyone who everyone who helped make it happen! @adventurex.bsky.social
EIGHT HOURS of Adventure X talks start with the always insightful and entertaining Jon Ingold (Inkle, 80 Days, Heaven's Vault, etc etc).
On Story Generation: Concept to plot.

The two days of #AdvX25 flew by! We're incredibly grateful that we could exhibit our game and be part of this wonderful conference.
Huge thank you to the organizers, volunteers, and all the players who stopped and tried our demo.
A weekend we'll never forget.

A bunch of AdventureX branded merch featuring the characters I illustrated, some in full colour and some only as line art: tote and paper bag, sticker sheets, notebook, programme, badges
Photos of all 6 rollup banners from across the expo floor
A close-up on two teeny weeny badges that still manage to look extremely cool
When creating print work for a client, you deliver the best quality you can, and then just have to hope the client knows what to do with it. In the case of #AdvX25 I was BLOWN AWAY by the level of execution, from the biggest rollup banner to the smallest badge. Thank you @adventurex.bsky.social!
Back on Irish soil and on the bus to Galway. I had a great time at #AdvX25, despite feeling quite ill throughout Sunday.
It was wonderful speaking to so many people about Blake Manor, and catching up with friends.
Looking forward to next year already.
A schedule display at the London St. Pancras International terminal showing the 12:31 train to Paris only just boarding at 13:24, my 12:01 train to Brussels being delayed 44 minutes (and rising), and the 13:32 train to Brussels having been cancelled outright.
An hour long delay for me on the @eurostarnews.bsky.social. Fortunately I saw @golosogames.bsky.social and Pierre Corbinais in the waiting area, whose train was delayed even more, and we had a nice post #AdvX25 chat.
AdventureX 2025: completed!
Heading home from London tired but happy — thanks to everyone who played the game and made the weekend awesome! ⚫✨

That's the end of AdventureX for this year. It was great to catch up with everyone, meet new people, learn new things and play some games.

Can't believe #AdventureX is over. It's incredible that a new team, in a new venue, delivered such a brilliant event. There were wonderful talks & games bursting with creativity, but above all it meant meeting the most delightful & talented people in the nicest community imaginable. #AdvX25
Fantastic time at @adventurex.bsky.social this weekend, so great to be back! #AdvX25
Thank you "con dad" Tom, "con mum" Amy and everyone who made the event possible ❤️
A cracked, red, but happy hand with an AdventureX wrist band doing the 🤘🏻 sign
A damn fine weekend. #AdventureX #Advx25
So many inspiring talks, chats with cool people. Got to see quite a few people I'd met in previous years and quite a few I hadn't met in real life before. This really is *the* event of the year for me. #AdvX25
happy to have spent another november weekend at #advx25 talking about, looking at and hearing about narrative games - a convention that always reminds me why i love what i do
The percentage of words spoke by male and female characters in each mainline Final Fantasy game. Only X-2, which had three female protagonists, comes close to an equal split. When this talk appears on YouTube later check out the slide for boob size vs likelihood of being allowed to posses a sword later in the talk. Steph Rennick & Seán Roberts: "What’s going wrong with women’s dialogue in video games?"
Esoteric Ebb was one of our favourite games at the show
Dusk Punk; Live in a steampunk city powered by the bones of the dead and spark a revolution. I'm buying it just based on that tagline if I'm honest :)
Slide with quote: "L'humour est la politesse du désespoir" In English: "Humour is the politeness of despair" Slide from an excellent presentation about making games about difficult subject matter by Florent Maurin & Pierre Corbinais - "The Delicate Art of Making Depressing Games"
Another great event by @adventurex.bsky.social ! I'm now at home decompressing, here are some of my highlights of #AdvX25 2/2
Jon Ingold describes the 2027 we all deserve: * Climate change: DONE * Trump?: GONE POTTY * Putin?: FROZEN * Farage?: RE-INTERRED * Greta?: DOUBLE PLATINUM * Narrative Designers?: EVERYWHERE
Panoramic shot of the Exhibition Hall
Excellent 80's vibes on the Vice Undercover table: A VHS box set and a Sony Sports Walkman with a set of speakers.
The overflow room meant that we were still able to enjoy the talks that were packed out, in this case the excellent Dominic Armato talking about "The Threepwood Method" for defeating imposter syndrome.

A lecture theatre filled with people. Projected on screen is the AdventureX logo, seated in front are five people in a semi circle.
And that's #AdvX25! What a truly special event it is. Coming away once again reminded why I want to make games.
