#AftermathWIP did not *start* as a grief WIP, but given how it's about surviving after overthrowing an evil dictator, I can see how it went that way.

#CureWIP is absolutely about dealing with grief. It's book 3 (same series as #BrewingWIP). Flames takes a section and slaps it into 2nd person.

“But there’s something that she feels she needs to do.”
Wren thinks about what Monica said the previous day, about Mela trying to make everyone happy at the expense of herself. They think about the larger issue, of Mela trying to balance two things that seem impossible to blend.
They think about how Ara also managed to do that in her own life.

It was fire that claimed almost everything from you. It certainly took your security, stability, and everything you’d ever known.
Yet you cannot bring yourself to fear it. It’s only in your dreams that it wins.
So you don’t dream.
You’re a surgeon. You’ve read about trauma and shellshock. You know that’s what you have.
But that doesn’t make the nightmares go away.
You also know that a lack of sleep is also terrible for you.
The fire crackles and for a second, you’re back in the midst of it again.

It tastes like blood and rot and overripe fruit. Like if I took the time I knocked a tooth out when I tripped on a boulder, mixed in with the time I accidentally bit into improperly cured boar, and mixed those with the smell of fruit right before it starts to decay.

“There was a fight here,” Izarra says, gripping her staff.
I close my eyes for a moment, trying to sense what she’s sensing. But her magic is different than mine.
“How long ago?” I ask.
“Ages,” she says, as if that’s all there is to it.

April Part 2 - I wrote Flames, a flashfic, as well as worked on #AftermathWIP, which is one of my grief WIPs, due to life reasons. Flames was actually born from #CureWIP, another WIP about grief.
July Part 2 - Started writing #WardenWIP
August Part 2 - Wrote another flashfic!
