Ppl w disability have been discussing this for a long time already
It's as disingenuous an argument as claiming accessing MAID for Pain (a "permissable" reason) while their pain meds are unreasonably restricted.
#LegislatedPoverty is beyond shameful & more & more lead to some ppl having to point out #AidB4MAID.
In Canada right NOW.
#AidB4Maid shouldn't be a thing ppl have to insist on but if you can't access adequate treatment or pain control at all/timely & have sufficient benefit payments to eat AND pay the rent but Medical Assistance In Dying approval is only 90 days away...our priorities are MESSED UP
