This week, I met with the British Alevi Federation to discuss the horrific attacks on minority groups, including Alawite and Alevi communities, in Syria.

As the Chair of the APPG for #Alevis, it was good to discuss how the group can further support the community at this concerning time.

#Ethnic-religious #Syria is made up of the #Fatimid #Alewite, Ismailis and Twelfth Shias, the #Sunis of the Hannafi and Shafi'i rite, the #Alevis, the #Christians of 4 rites, namely, the Armenian, Greek Orthodox, Melkites and the Syrians and finally the Yazidis, #Druze, Zoroastrians and Crypto jews.
