I have been working in what is probably the most effective neighborhood rapid response in the United States of America. Its response time is easily half that of the city emergency services. It has mostly driven ICE out of the area. And you know what it has? A FORMAL PRESS POLICY. Press are allowed!

Let me say again - because I just dealt with this - rapid response groups who are actively discouraging media and hiding info about where ICE is in a given community are doing real harm out there.
Nick Milkovich, one of the Broadview ICE facility protestors still facing charges, made a point at a press conference Wednesday to specify it was Illinois State Police, not feds, who arrested him last October.
Due to their actions, he said, "a peaceful protest became chaotic with brutality.”

There are all sorts of meetings and functions of rapid response groups that have legit need to happen privately. Confirmed ICE sightings should be reported publicly. Social media is even better than Signal.
