Tribute to “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll, in form of illustration, which depicts characters from the book, seen from the behind, sitting on the cliff above the sea, looking at the seascape. In the center is Alice, with the pig baby on the left and the flamingo on the right, and the Mock Turtle and the Gryphon far left and right of them. The sight of the group is framed by the garden arc, covered in greenery and two-colored (red and white) roses, a translucent bluish Cheshire Cat resting at the top of it. In the corner of the picture, leaned on the arc, frog footman is asleep. On the background of blue sky, there is the quote from the poem preceding the story: “All in The Golden Afternoon. 1865.”
Why is a pig that has lost its tail like a little girl on the sea-shore?
Because it says, “I should like another tale, please!” (Lewis Carroll)
A tribute to 160th Anniversary of first edition of “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”, published on 4 July 1865.
