Festival for almabtrieb in Simonswald
It might be #transhumance, though the timing (when i see the flocks) confuses me. Around here like in many mountain regions there are traditions around the time when cattle are brought down from high areas to lower lands. #Almabtrieb
At the end of summer the cows from the alpine meadows are collected and brought back down to the valleys here for winter. If the heard returns healthy and complete the leading cows receive a floral decoration when entering the village. #Almabtrieb
