In that single moment
After the collapse,
I emerged
From the path worth taking.
Wild and hard,
Long and winding,
Overgrown with roots of doubt,
Fear, defiance, and cruelty.
I can’t laugh too much
The disease has hurt near me
Loved ones here and gone.
I mourn our country
I mourn liberty for all
I cry, I don’t laugh.
Love those close to you
Fight mean and evil people
Don’t change, be humble.
