A digital illustration of a cel-shaded chibi on a cream background. Text above and below the chibi reads, "Together, we can do anything."

The chibi is Katara from the cartoon Avatar: The Last Airbender. She has brown skin, dark blue eyes, and dark brown hair pulled back in a braid with hair loopies. She is wearing a blue dress with white fur trim, dark leggings, gray boots, and a choker with a blue pendant. She is crouched in a waterbending stance, smiling and bending a stream of water into a heart.

A valentine from Katara! She's so optimistic and driven, I love her.

The water heart was super fun to draw.

A quiet night

I read the reckoning of Roku a while ago and had to make a little comic of Roku and Gyatso. It’s not verbatim but the vibe is pretty much the same as a scene in the book!

Two Indian ink drawings, with washed ink shading. Left: Aang holds his pumpkin under his arm. He has carved the smiling mask he wore at the Fire Festival. He points at the pumpkin with his other hand and grins as broadly as the pumpkin.

Right: Katara is using waterbending to carve curly, bubbly and wavy patterns in her pumpkin. Her expression is focused but pleased.

Two Indian ink drawings, with washed ink shading. Left: Sokka holds his pumpkin up to his face and inspects it with a frown. He has carved a classic Jack o Lantern face in his pumpkin. “aww...” he says, “mine is all wonky lookin...”

Right: Toph has cut her pumpkin in half, put one half on her head like a hat and has her hands in the other half in front of her, kneading the slimy seeds. She replies to Sokka: “I think it looks great!”

“Really?! Thanks Toph!” he says. Then, realising she can’t see his work: “Stop saying that!”

“If you stop falling for it.” Toph grins, and then mumbles to herself “I love this stuff.”

Two Indian ink drawings, with washed ink shading. Left: Suki presents the pumpkin standing in front of her, in which she has carved a simplified version of Avatar Kyoshi’s face. Her eyes are fully carved out so that they glow as if she’s in the Avatar state. Suki puts on a spooky face herself, and holds her hands next to her face, palms forward and fingers stretched out away from her face.

Right: Zuko puts on a light in his pumpkin. He has carved a flying dragon in it, and looks very contented with his work.
