The writing invites emotion and longing. It piques curiosity and in the later pages, I fell in love with her garden. I wish winter would leave so that I may tend to our yard. Reading Han Kang’s accounts has inspired me. A beautiful mix of writings.

Cute reads. I Love You Little Cub is already out and is great for a bedtime read. 4 stars. Where’s Big Dog is out later this month and really touches the heart. I especially enjoyed the illustrations in the latter title and gave it 5 stars.

This was a great read. It’s written in a poetry-theatre hybrid style and shares the immigrant experience via 5 Nigerian (-American) characters. Powerful, deep, and creative. It was a 5 star read for me. It’s due to be released on the 15th of this month.
