They had a problem with #AmazingTales being too broad because they couldn't get behind the concept of using 5 traits to perform all actions. They tended to use the same 2 traits for all actions and trying to use the other 3 gave them frustrations. I will own that it could have been a me issue as GM.

I'm looking for a #ttrpg system to introduce my kids (9 & 11) to fantasy roleplay. I've tried #AmazingTales, but it was too open/broad for them. I'm looking at #TinyDungeon2e but it seems to be too rigid. #D&D5e is too complicated. I'll look at #HeroKids, but also looking for other recommendations.

Our passion project is keeping our local #LittleFreeLibraries stocked with both fiction novels and role playing games. #AmazingTales is one of our favorite kids-friendly RPGs so we pop some of these with a bag of dice and a pre-printed adventure in every now and again.
