Announcing larger instances for Amazon Lightsail Amazon Lightsail now offers three larger instance bundles with up to 64 vCPUs and 256 GB memory. The new instance bundles are available with Linux operating system (OS) and application blueprints, for both IPv6-only and dual-stack networking types. You can create instances using the new bundles with pre-configured Linux OS and application blueprints including WordPress, cPanel & WHM, Plesk, Drupal, Magento, MEAN, LAMP, Node.js, Amazon Linux, Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, AlmaLinux, and Windows. The new larger instance bundles enable you to scale your web applications and run more compute and memory intensive workloads in Lightsail. These higher performance instance bundles are ideal for general purpose workloads that require ability to handle large spikes in load. Using this new bundle, you can run web and application servers, large databases, virtual desktops, batch processing, enterprise applications, and more. Amazon Lightsail now supports IPv6 connectivity over AWS PrivateLink Amazon Lightsail now supports IPv6-only and dual-stack PrivateLink interface VPC endpoints. AWS PrivateLink is a highly available, scalable service that allows you to privately connect your VPC to services and resources as if they were in your VPC. Previously, Lightsail supported private connectivity over PrivateLink using IPv4-only VPC endpoints. With today’s launch, customers can use IPv6-only, IPv4-only, or dual-stack VPC endpoints to create a private connection between their VPC and Lightsail, and access Lightsail without traversing the public internet. Lightsail supports connectivity using PrivateLink in all AWS Regions supporting Lightsail. AWS Console Mobile Application adds support for Amazon Lightsail AWS customers can now access Amazon Lightsail from within the AWS Console Mobile App to monitor and manage Lightsail instances, containers, databases, network, storage, snapshots, domains and DNS while on the go. Visit the Services tab in the AWS Console Mobile App and select Lightsail to get started. The AWS Console Mobile App enables AWS customers monitor and manage a select set of resources and receive push notifications to stay informed and connected with their AWS resources while on-the-go. The sign-in process supports biometrics authentication, making access to AWS resources simple, secure, and quick. Lightsail offers easy-to-use virtual private server (VPS) instances, storage, databases, and more for a cost-effective monthly price. For AWS services not available natively, customers can access the AWS Management Console via an in-app browser to access service pages without additional authentication, manual navigation, or need to switch from the app to a browser.
