Setting up an #Ambisonic playback template in #Reaper for the concert on Sunday. I’ve got everything from stereo, to 8.0 (paired channels), to Atmos, to a 5th order Ambisonic file, and some have video as well.

But it just freaking works. Let’s see Pro Tools do that…

The final pair of speakers arrived this afternoon.
Evening spent recording and processing #ambisonic #audio of a lecture (plus video plus promo stills).
Later evening spent installing new speakers and configuring hifi.
Night-time spent mixing #music in #Atmos.

This is how it's done: two multicapsule #Ambisonic / Soundfield microphones flanking a #JecklinDisk connected to sincronized multichannel portable recorders. Video is just a manually-synced iPhone.
