My message to British journalists who are complicit in Israel's genocide in Gaza: You will pay for what you did.

I was honoured to receive the People's Choice Award at the @amnestyuk.bsky.social #AmnestyMediaAwards 2025. It is dedicated to the people of Palestine.

This was a very moving moment at the #AmnestyMediaAwards last night. From miles away, with an injured hand, Wael talked through a laptop camera to a room of journalists looking for a way to answer his call. Then we stood for a minute of silence to remember more than 230 journalists killed in Gaza.

Wael's message must be heard and action is needed.
