He boasts an incredibly colourful plumage with a red bill, a white crescent above his eye, and a reddish face with whisker-like features. His chest is a dazzling purple adorned with two vertical white bars, and his flanks are a ruddy orange. To top it all off, he has two large orange feathers that curl upwards like sails on his back.
