St Materiana's Church, Tintagel, the tower is pictured centrally below grey cloudy skies, rising up above a traditionally built Cornish stone wall and grassy verge.

Built between 1080 and 1150, located near Tintagel Castle, an area steeped in Arthurian legend. The tower was built in the 14th Century and overlooks the sea from a cliff.

A closer view of the old covered Japanese bridge in Hoi An. The walls are painted red and the roof is made of terracotta roof tiles with blue and white decorative elements. The middle part of the bridge is open so pedestrians inside can look outside.

I've been in Hoi An since last week. It's such a charming town. I spent a month here in 2023 and the Japanese bridge was being restored at the time. It's nice to see it without the scaffolding!

Inside Roslyn Chapel for a xmas carol concert tonight. The Chapel dates from 1446 - 600 years ago. Amazing architecture!

Fun fact: on the other side of that fence is a pub Rabbie Burns used to visit. It's next to #RoslynChapel (of Da Vinci Code fame).

Series of high sandstone arches, retreating into the distance and curving away to the right. The picture has a blurred effect of motion towards a central point.

Picture of a broad, underground tunnel with deep shadows between the four pools of light from unseen ceiling skylights that lead down the tunnel. The walls are large, blocks of sandstone and you can see the stone arches going down the tunnel, leading to what is probably a wide arched doorway, but it is lost in the shadows.

Wasn't sure which picture to post for #SundayPixArches so you lucky people are getting two. Both from the Roman ampitheatre in El Jem in Tunisia taken in 2015.
