Power is (in)formally concentrated in the hands of a few. Anocracy: a mix of democracy and authoritarianism. This structure creates instability, with blurred rules and power struggles. Leaders exploit instability to weaken institutions and gain unchecked power. Plutocracy: an oligarchy ruled specifically by the wealthy. Policies and decisions favor the rich, leaving the rest of the population struggling. Kleptocracy: a government built on corruption, where leaders steal from the poor and give to themselves. Infrastructure crumbles while the rich get richer. Kakistocracy: rule by the least qualified and most corrupt people. Incompetence results in poor decision-making and mismanagement that harms society.
