#aptoapril Pt. 4: Tailor

While on one of her thrift shop runs, Rebel spotted a long, sleeveless battle jacket, that looked just right for her. Only problem was, there were no holes for her wings to fit through. When the clerk saw the puzzles moving in Rebel’s mind, she stepped in to help… (1/3)

In a world of so many different species, not everything is going to be one size fits all.
Lute gets a lot of work as a tailor because of this. She makes clothes for so many different needs varying from wings, longer bodies, and even multiple limbs.

Mura's general size and shape makes it hard for them to work in a building. They much prefer writing and drawing in their den. Everything in there is sized up to accommodate their hooves. Even then, it's hard for a boargon to keep focus They're given to distraction and flights of fancy.

Mura prefers shopping in person, as they like to see what they're buying before they buy it. Unfortunately, their spacial awareness isn't the best, and they often knock into displays with their tail. They always clean up what they knock over, but it's always embarrassing to thwack someone

Mura was a common customer of the tailor. Lots of pants don't have tail holes, or aren't meant to accommodate haunches as big as theirs. Many a pair of pants had met its demise before Mura accepted this, and decided to start getting the ones they liked tailored.

"My tailor bills are pretty cheap! I only need the top for my outfits, since pants don't exactly work with snakes. Although, everything needs to be button up...my cobra hood can't fit through head holes for shirts..."

In a hat shop, Tam the bunny tries on a hat for the first time. While the holes were made for his ears to fit through, actually getting them into the holes is like threading a needle.

shopping is weird when you don't really need food or home goods! ...and also when you can't fit through the aisles.

With today's #aptoapril theme being work I can only point out The Concierge.

There are not many fictional jobs I yearn to have, but working at the Hokkyoku Department store is one. Just tending to the needs of animals large and small, making sure they have the best experience.

The thrift store has become THE place for Rebel to buy her clothes at, and not just because the clothes there are cheap. It’s the only place she can get very specific stuff that not only match her punk-ish style, but also fit her “unique” body type…(1/2)
