The Declaration of Arbroath. The image shows a replica of the declaration on display in a Perspex box. It is a large single sheet with closely spaced lines of writing at the end furthest from the viewer. At the near end it is cut into multiple vertical strips, each of which has a red or black wax seal on it. AT the bottom of the image is an interpretive panel giving background to the declaration.
