It’s #ArchiveAnimals for today’s #Archive30. This adorable dog is ‘Cuckles’, with a member of the WW1 Scottish Horse Mounted Brigade Field Ambulance.

This glazed sculpture of a Wolfhound, portrayed in motion was created by local artist Beryl Maile and it is thought was modelled on one of Beryl's own dogs.
Beryl had a cheeky sense of humour, she used a coffin as a coffee table & her dogs were called 'Fanny' & 'Willy' 😳

Our #ArchiveAnimals are Salt & Pepper. Dr John Kirker’s donkeys lived in his garden & were a big hit with the local community in Malahide. Salt tragically died in 1998 after a cruel attack. Pepper was distraught but found happiness at Donkey Sanctuary Ireland @arascot.bsky.social
