When Brighton Zoological Gardens was closed in 1832, the animals were auctioned off in early 1833. Some months later a Bear’s Grease manufacturer in London was advertising the slaughter of and fresh grease from one of those bears. Commodified in life and death. #BearFacts #Arctoid
