Thats why she really doesn't give af anymore, she does what makes her happy, she's already bad, so how much worse can she get? It amazes her that someone so good like Lae'zel can love her.

I think if Arilda is fully understood that its less fun, her whole deal is that she lies, and its more fun seeing people try to figure out what about Arilda is "real"

Arilda has so little self confidence yet when actually faced with combat, she is the person who keeps everyone together and leads the assault, largely due to her own intense anxiety over conflict.
Thus Arilda became the defacto combat leader of the party.

It was her sister's favorite insult for her, and the word she carved into Arilda's scalp.
She is trying to handle it better, having a better relationship with her sister now has helped.
