A view towards a music stage where two musicians are performing. It is night and outdoors. The audience members are sitting under trees and the scene is lit by stage lights in pink and green tones.

A view towards an outdoor music stage. It is early evening and still light. There are many rows of sage green outdoor chairs and most of them are empty. The stage is lit with blue star motifs. There are trees.

A corner of a gallery. Hanging from one wall is a rubbing of a tree stump on multiple pieces of paper joined together. On the facing wall is a poster with information about the project. The floor is covered with brown paper. It has multiple drawings and tracings made by the artists in residence and gallery visitors.

Today's art outing was to see Sarah Robinson and David Carson's Shopfront Gallery residency in Northbridge, Perth. Fascinating work in progress.

Painting by artist Judy Rogers from her exhibition at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre in Western Australia.
This work is:
Quain Dirt (Arts and Crafts Red)
Mixed media on board, 80x100cm, 2024

The artwork has an orange background with a symmetrical arrangement of WA plants and flowers. On close inspection, several insects are also visible.

I like to have an art outing at least once a week. This week, I went to the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre to see 'That's your bloomin' lot' by Judy Rogers. Stunning! It is on until 25 Feb 2025.
