Ik post wel eens over #AsianHate. En ook hier maken zelfbenoemde inclusieve strijders er nauwelijks een punt van. Is verder niks nieuws voor me hoor, maar ik benoem het toch maar weer even.

Ik hoef me niet aangesproken te voelen, maar ik voel me toch tekortgedaan. 🥲 Fvck it, ik heb alle recht om #AsianHate in al zijn ontkiemingen en facetten aan de kaak te stellen; ik leef die shit al m’n leven lang. Nogmaals, niet voor mij, maar voor alle anderen die niet kunnen opkomen voor zichzelf.
Ik weet nog hoe ik door winkelend publiek smerig werd aangekeken tijdens de pandemie. Nou ben ik niet het schuchtere type; mijn wenkbrauw kruipt omhoog en ik roep ‘wat moet je dan?!’, maar dat durft niet iedereen die racistisch bejegend wordt. Besef dat en sta op tegen haat.

Mja, ik geloof niet dat volksstammen hadden gereageerd met ‘even geen pizza of frites met Belgische mayo meer’ als het een Italiaan of Belg was geweest. Maar goed, ook dat het door velen wordt gezien als aanstellerij onderstreept wel dat #AsianHate niet als serieus probleem wordt aangepakt.

Ik vind ‘KUTCHINEES’ dezelfde lading hebben als ‘KUTMAROKKAAN’ of ‘KUTWIJF’. Bij die laatste twee staan mensen veel eerder op de achterste poten, want discriminatie, racisme en misogynie. Besef dat #AsianHate een echt probleem is.

Doel je op mijn posts? Ik had dat van jouw man niet eens gezien. Maar goed, ik heb flink racistische dingen voorbij zien komen, die gewoon niet kunnen; het wordt zo makkelijk weggezet, maar awareness wat betreft #AsianHate is net zo hard nodig als al het andere waar BS’ers claimen tegen strijden. 🤍
