And with that I end the first Assassin’s Creed game. Even with how much it has not aged well every time I play it I appreciate it more. At the end of each playthrough I’ll be posting my ranking and updating it as I move along. Tomorrow we start Assassin’s Creed 2!

As I’m nearing the end of this playthrough of the first AC game there’s one aspect of the game that I haven’t talked about yet and that’s the soundtrack. Honestly? Not my favorite of the older titles outside of a few tracks. Too atmospheric for my liking.

Small correction: AC1 *does* have air assassination… in a way. It’s a bit convoluted though compared to future AC games since you have to perform an assassination in the middle of a jump while you’re locked on to the target. It’s how you’re meant to kill one of the targets.

Never realized that guards just don’t check the hiding spots in AC1 when they’re chasing you. That and guards remembering you’re an actual threat are some of those AC2 improvements that flew over my head.

One small complaint that I have about AC1 is that starting with the second set of assassination targets the map for some reason doesn’t give you a viewpoint location. Not even if you have gotten every viewpoint in a district.
