In September I had word from #SocialSecurityScotland that my mother would be transferring to the Scots version of #AttendanceAllowance
This was because I had POA for her and they were using my address.
Advised she was in England, and told it was dealt with.
Yesterday I get a letter about transfer.

As I have POA for my mother, all her correspondence is sent to me, although she remains in a care home in South London.
So super happy to receive a letter from #DWP to say her #AttendanceAllowance is switching to the new Scottish #PensionAgeDisabilityPayment as she lives in Scotland…….

I very deliberately chose not to apply for jobs assessing people for #AttendanceAllowance as I was worried there'd be pressure to meet targets for cutting costs!

If you’re of pension age or have an older relative who needs help to live independently, claim *attendance allowance*. It’s not means tested, it doesn’t make you a scrounger, it might save you ending up in hospital and it can take some pressure off friends & family who help you
