I mean, you've got both these bands on-stage at once and CRYCHIC is all you can muster? Let Tomori sing with Uika! Let Mutsumi shred with Raana! I want to hear what "Let's Sing it and Ring it" sounds like with a piano arrangement! There's so much you can do and they opted to just...not. #AveGo

Anyway, once again, a good concert but a HUGE missed opportunity, not having the bands switch members or play together or actually even acknowledge each others' existence at all. It's hard to see what the point was. #AveGo

Oh, and the anime clips and the intermission monologues were different. #AveGo

The other change to the setlist was just that, instead of MyGO!!!!! also doing "Spring Sunlight", they did "Tanebi" as the closer, because of course they did, it must have made them physically unwell to not get to do "Tanebi" as the closer on day 1. #AveGo

More to the point, tho, is that on Day 1 You-chan sang like Tomori in middle school would have sung—sweet, but timid and inexperienced. On Day 2, she brought all her MyGO!!!!!-earned experience and emotional trauma to bare and belted out the songs. #AveGo

The main difference from Day 1 to Day 2 was that Day 1's CRYCHIC was the middle school version, while Day 2's was the reunion version. They wore really bad frumpy white dresses instead of the school uniforms. #AveGo

None of the songs were ones which didn't appear in the anime, and they used anime clips —which I don't think either of these bands has done before, I know MyGO!!!!! hasn't—as intermissions and introductions. It was all very anime-centric in a way their shows usually aren't. #AveGo

Anyway yeah day 2 pretty much the same thing as day 1. They played all of the same songs, with one exception, just in a different order. #AveGo

4 images of "Sakiko" turned towards the camera singing, as "Uika" turns towards her, reaches out, and lets her hair fall through her fingers.

I did my WaniKani reviews today but I have still someone not learned enough to understand these opening monologues between yesterday and today. #AveGo

My quick Googling suggests Bandori 12th's venue held 8,000 and this one holds 20,000. I wanna say Divide/Unite had like 10-12,000 seats? #AveGo

I appreciate that while this was CLEARLY not a priority, they did at least put a LITTLE effort into the choreography. #AveGo

Wait Mana's voice doesn't sound nearly as annoying today, wtf lol #AveGo

I think I can safely skip sumimi this time, sorry Mana-chan. #AveGo

May as well do Day 2, I'm still too fried from this day for anything else tonight. #AveGo

Also, they did the anime version of "Utakotoba", which is to say no idiot backup singing, but the camera was on Coco-chan at the moment where the first instance of backup singing WOULD happen, and she leaned for the mic and then shook her head to herself, lol. #AveGo

One thing I forgot to mention is that Mika-chan did an excellent job looking absolutely miserable throughout this song, which I sense is kinda hard for her to do. #AveGo

Well, I'll watch Day 2 tomorrow or Friday, probably. Maybe they go hog wild in that one (I doubt it but you never know lol). #AveGo

They didn't even do the perfunctory "both bands play two songs from each others' repertoire together in a hastily tossed together arrangement" thing they do for most Bandori joint lives. #AveGo

Day 1 done and that was fine, I guess. I mean, it was an objectively good show, all the bands brought their a-game, but as with most Bandori joint lives, it was pretty rigidly structured. No guest members wandering over from one band to the other, no insane duets, nothing. #AveGo

hahahaha they're showing more anime clips and when Nyamu dips Mutsumi only for Mutsumi to reverse it, the crowd went nuts #AveGo

I think I have a crush lol #AveGo

Mutsumi's performer is a blast to watch because she's trying hard to stay in character, but sometimes you can see her struggling to hold back a smile and you can tell she's having so much fun. #AveGo

It was basically a reenactment of the anime; we even got anime-accurate on-stage tears from Mika-chan during "Utakotoba", lol #AveGo

These have all been anime songs so far. After CRYCHIC, MyGO!!!!! did "Hekitenbansou", "Spring Sunlight", and "Utakotoba", in that order. #AveGo

o shit MyGO!!!!! played "Spring Sunlight" too #AveGo

On an entirely different note...Mika-chan kinda rocking the Tsukinomori uniform, ngl #AveGo
