A thing I’ve tried to do every new years (inspired by Leigh Bardugo years ago) is begin as you mean to go on. Aka at the new year, start the year how you want the year to go.

My #BAYMTGO is consisting of making yummy food for everyone (muffin tin Dutch babies with blueberries) and hiking in my favorite mountains. We have to leave tomorrow, but with the hope of returning for good later this year. (I’d like to cross stitch a bit and journal, but with a two year old… 🤷♀️)
Today's #BAYMTGO:
1. Read (Stealing Fire, as always)
2. Write (probably Lucanis fanfic, lbr)
3. Cross stitch (which will cover for all my hobbies, because I don't want to open a Lego box right now, and we DO NOT need more desserts)

One of my fave authors has a tradition of #BAYMTGO (Begin As You Mean To Go On) for the New Year. I often try to do that as well, but I think I’m going to begin by sleeping in, wearing sweats, and baking cookies. Which…to be fair…is exactly how I mean to go on.
