👉🏻 A book that is most precious to you
📕 A Suitable Boy (1993, pp 1,349)
🖊️ Vikram Seth
Only precious in that it remains my favourite novel, beautifully presented as 3 volumes in a box cover. I recently found another used copy which I’ll give to my mum in a week or two 😊

Day 8.A book most precious to you.
As we watch man's inhumanity to man play out in real time across the world and we become almost numb to the atrocities being committed on our TVs, this book is a must read. Read it for the first time at University.
#BBBookChallenge Day Eight: A Book That Is Most Precious To You
This final prompt was a tough one, because there are so many! Went with my girl Eloise in the end though since she meant a lot to me as a former city child and still does today as a current city grownup. 🎀📚🥰

Final day
A book that is most precious to you.
This is a really hard category but I think I’ll go with a book of poetry. One I return to regularly.
Poems about finding love, losing love, grief and recovery.
Day 8: Thanks @bridgebooksdromore.bsky.social It was fun.
The book most precious to me, & the greatest thing I'll ever read, is #TheGreatGatsby
I've owned/lent several copies, but the words & images of '20s Long Island formed by my minds eye are a place I love returning to.

Last day of the book challenge - this has been fun. Day 8 is a book that is most precious to you. This is my grandpa's copy of Envious Casca by Georgette Heyer. My grandpa was a primary headmaster and introduced me to GH's detective novels.

Heidi by Johanna Spyri
My uncle gave this to me, I don't even remember how old I was, but it was a belated birthday present given to me at Christmas time, so it was like getting an extra gift.

Other than a few Seamus Heaneys and a single WBYeats, I don't have a lot of poetry in the house. I picked this up recently though.

#BBBookChallenge Day Seven: A Book From A Genre You Rarely Read
Memoirs aren't my usual go-to, but what was I going to do here? Not read the brilliantly titled Putting The Rabbit in The Hat by the equally brilliant Mr. Brian Cox? I think we know what Logan Roy would have said about that. 😉

I have tended to avoid historical novels, but this Booker Prize-winner would be in my top five or ten fiction books ever, so maybe I’m missing a trick here 😊

It's both!!! Since the '95 miniseries turns 30 this year, the '05 film version is 20, AND it's the celebration of Jane Austen's 250th, I really only had one choice for today. 📚💘🥰
Day 6: Barbed Wire by #HallCaine
This old&worn copy belonged to my granddad and found it's way to me a number of years ago. He read this in Nov 1927 after seeing it at the pictures, as he noted on the inside cover.
