The other day, our lovely therapy cat Carrots, had to undergo some major dental surgery to improve his quality of life.
Several teeth had to be removed but he will recover and adapt just fine.

Happy Monday from Badger at #BCWR
Badger is one of our resident cats, he is blind due to brain damage caused by untreated seizures in early life.
Still, he loves a snuggle & is best friends with Flora.
He still has occasional violent seizures but they are much more controlled now.

Just 10 days ago sweet Paisley was surrendered to us after her owner just couldn't cope with her declining health.
For six days, Paisley has been on (very expensive) treatment for FIP and we have already seen a huge improvement.

New arrival from last night.
This is little Sticky Wicket, he was dumped on us last night, covered in oil and incredibly hungry.
Our amazing team have cleaned him up and already he's feeling a bit better.
He'll need to be with us for a little bit yet to make sure he's better before adoption.

A picture of Betty Choo today, on the 27th! She's splayed out on her back, paws in the air, and having a lovely catnap. She looks quite pleased with herself as she snoozes the evening away.
On Thursday, we had a new arrival! This is Betty Choo, and she's around 8 weeks old.
Poor Betty came to us with a huge, painful abscess on her cheek. It's since been lanced and cleared up, thanks to the amazing vets at Northcote, and sweet Betty is doing a lot better today!

As a portion of her lungs doesn't work properly, and despite being well currently, we're aware she could very quickly deteriorate.
As she's been neutered, chipped, and vaccinated, we hope to integrate her into the sanctuary soon!

Conga update
Conga was neutered yesterday & had follow up xrays of her pelvis and chest.
Whilst the pelvis looks ok, there is a section of free floating bone around the hips.
There is also an abnormality on the right lung, suggesting an area of non functioning lung tissue.
