I'm appalled. I can't believe there are people working in general practices in London who thought that was OK. I can't imagine what it must be like if you live in areas of low #HIV prevalence.

Despite being a #BHIVA conference virgin, it was an absolute delight to reconnect with people in GUM/HIV I haven't seen in years. I've also made many new connections, not all of them on the dancefloor though. 💃🕺😬

Although there is a clear role for GPs in HIV testing and care of an older cohort of PLWH, I was disheartened, though not surprised, that there is still a lot of work to do to improve the experiences of PLWH and make them feel confident and safe to engage with general practice.

I have research interest in care of older people living with #HIV, how health services need to respond, particularly to those who are undeserved and experience intersectional stigma.
I was particularly impressed with how GP HIV champions engaged primary care to do more HIV testing.👏
