I went to the doctor yesterday here in the Philippines for a surgical consult (nothing serious, don't worry). They didn't take my weight, height, or blood pressure, just talked with me about my options. How refreshing to have a doctor not sit there and harp on my BMI..... #healthcare #BMIIsBullshit

it is archaic & entirely flawed - as highlighted by the fact that those whose BMI falls into the "overweight" category have a longer life expectancy than those with a BMI deemed "healthy".
