I'm surprised at the number of people whining about #spotify.  Spotify is the recording industry today.

Highly recommend the Don Was interview on Bob Lefsetz’s podcast. Admittedly I’ve never listened to on of his interviews. Wow, it was fantastic!

He talked to Don for a few hours and covered everything all while letting him jam in conversation.

Not sure if #BobLefsetz is on here. Most likely not bc he’s stuck in the era he reviews. He said something in his newsletter which IMO explains why white people welcomed a dictator and are mostly silent as he destroys the government - it’s worth it as long as you can be openly racist.

Bob Lefsetz and Rick Beato discuss many facets of the music business, in this podcast that runs over an hour. I highly recommend it. Hits are rare. Much private practice may lead to high competence. The big publishers depend on their catalogs &c.
