Senior Shield: Belfast Royal Academy 3 Ballymena Academy 1 We caught up with the Ulster Hockey Schoolgirls Senior Cup between Belfast Royal Academy and Ballymena Academy at Stormont Pavilion on Monday afternoon. BRA were quick out of the blocks in this one picking up a goal on the second minute from Alex Snoddy for a 1 - 0 lead. Alex Snoddy opened the scoring for BRA Ballymena worked hard to get back into the game but BRA continued to create chances in the first quarter which thy dominated.

Senior Cup: Belfast Royal Academy 0 Royal School Armagh 3 We caught up with the Ulster Hockey Senior Cup 3rd Round match between Belfast Royal Academy and The Royal School Armagh at Roughfort on Saturday afternoon. You have to feel some sympathy for BRA, indeed any side, who had to face the all conquering Armagh in the early rounds of the Senior Cup but the home side had a bright opening quarter and looked dangerous on the break.

Schools Friendly: Victoria College 0 Belfast Royal Academy 3 The sun was barely above the horizon for the early morning push back in the Schools Friendly between Victoria College and Belfast Royal Academy. I took in the 1st half before heading down to Osborne Park. Both sides played an expansive game from the start trying to put their forwards in goal scoring opportunities. Gradually the pendulum swung towards BRA. They started to control the midfield cutting off the supply of ball to the Victoria forwards.
