Still think the decision by the referee to book both Porter and Lahiff was absolutely bizarre, a case of a ref not knowing who was to blame at scrum time so simply hedging his bets. A fundamentally unserious decision.

It's not that dissimilar a performance to the one we had against Sale last year, where we also looked very disjointed in the first half. We still reached the final then but obviously a few things need to improve. Good showing for Sam today. JVDF was exceptional.

Ultimately that's a comfortable bonus point win away in bad conditions against the team sitting second in the Prem which is not to be sniffed at. We were very poor in that opening half hour though. Seemed to wake up once they scored at least and the bench put things to bed. We move on.
