"As your doctor, I only want the best for my client; and this is not a healthy lifestyle. Your poor diet and lack of exercise can lead to heart problems and mobility issues. It's a miracle at all that you're still alive-" Dr. Hua lectures Bajin, weighing hundreds of pounds in belly and ass fat, on his unhealthy way of life. His blubbery body, riddled with stretch marks with a stomach filled to the brim and ready to burst, wobbles violently with minimal movement. He holds a mound of made up of three huge layers of mud with rocks topping it; a literal mud cake. ("Literal mud cake with rock toppings" is written next to the "cake.") Bajin is visibly annoyed at the doctor. "You worry too much, Doctor. I am a dragon; we are meant to be large. If anything, my lack of mass should be more worrisome to you. This hedonistic diet will continue until I am the righteous size for a mighty dragon, for I am the heir to the Dragon Palace. No amount of "heart problems" will get in the way of my place on the throne. Now, leave me be!"
The previous image, only now Bajin is now belching and brapping extensively, much to Dr. Hua's dismay.
Despite being centuries old, Bajin was still rather small for a dragon. Technically, he was a cat-dragon hybrid, but he still considered himself dragon first. Annoyed by his own predicament, he took matters into his own paws. If he wasn't going to grow naturally, he'd bulk up on his own terms. Unfortunately, in all of his binge-eating and ordering larger portions, and even buying dietary supplements out of desperation, Bajin had neglected to actually exercise and turn any of that gained mass into muscle. Months of questionable diet choices have eventually turned him into a blubbery, wobbly, unhealthy mess. Despite the worrisome words he gets from his colleagues and even his own family, however, he was much more concerned with whether he was big enough than where his excess weight would eventually lead him to. Nobody every seems to draw Fabulous Beasts characters unless it's Sibuxiang (both of them yes), Tuye, Diting, Fuzai, Hetao, or any of the Pixiu brothers. And it's even more uncommon to see art fat fetish art of them. So, I took matters into my own hands and drew Bajin as a very blobby kittycat-dragon. I even threw in Dr. Hua from the series for some lightly implied health play. I didn't initially like how tall I made Bajin (he's much shorter than this) but I still love how this turned out.
