So this is love…truly and wholly a labor of pure love. Little Zero was born at just 2oz, his two siblings are nearly twice his size. At day 6, he’s up to 3.4oz, but not without some assistance from the Other Mother. Nothing is fouler than the smell of boiled liver - but my house smells like that for him and I wallow in it. I need those juices for his homemade formula. I like sleep, but I’ll give it up, for him. For a few weeks, or a month, or more if he needs it, so he gets enough nourishment to survive. To see the world when his eyes open, to experience playtime. Will he survive? I don’t know, but damn it, we will try together. Will he be my next show dog, or a loving companion? I don’t know, but his life is worth fighting for, regardless of what his future holds. He is with his mom and siblings mostly, and I’m just topping him off so he grows.
