It's a text conversation on Messenger between my friend DC and myself; he tells me to look outside the chairs at Panera; I do; there are just Asian people out there; he tells me to look 'further towards the middle' so I do; more Asians; I indicate that this is not unusual or noteworthy to me, but it is in fact what I see; he says 'I'm out there, too,' to which I respond in all caps, 'YOU'RE ASIAN??' (he isn't) and he says, 'apparently.' I respond, "That news is entirely neutral to me, and I have no official reaction to it." and FINALLY, DC says, 'That's funny,' so I can stop trying so hard.
