A just-baked whole camembert is sitting in a skillet (that is resting on something that keeps it from scorching the table.

Some of the cheese has escaped the rind and is now mingling with the baked shallots surrounding the cheese. The cheese is a feast of white and yellow: the shallots are thoroughly bronzed and juicy.
A few twigs of thyme are also visible.

The recipe is not public but it's basic:

Peel and halve shallots, put a bit of salt on the cut sides, then fry them in butter and olive oil for 12 minutes; add white wine & thyme and fry for 12 more minutes.
Roast them in the oven at 180C (fan) for 10 minutes; turn over the shallots and bake for 10 more minutes. Make space for the camembert, cut the top of the camembert without touching the sides, sprinkle it with olive oil, put it in the middle of the skillet and bake it and the encircling shallots for 10 final minutes.

That's all - and it is divine.
