Some time has passed, and the frame is centered on a barbecue. Ground beef and bacon sizzle atop the grill, with the other half tucked under shade. Mokutan speaks from out of frame. Mokutan: "...see? As Mystic brushes crumbs from his jowls, Mighty begins to explain something to Mokutan, who has given him a questioning look. Mighty: "It’s just...making food is not something we often have the luxury of doing. Most kitchens are not spacious enough for us to move around in, and most utensils are difficult for us to use at this size. As a child, I would watch our Mother as she made dinner, hoping to help her and perhaps learn a thing or two about cooking, but-"

A brotherly quarrel begins, with Mystic chiming in to provide some humorous context about his brother's story. Mystic: "'Watch'? It was more like he made a complete nuisance of himself, Mokutan." Mighty: "Wha-DON'T TELL HER THAT" Mystic: "That poor woman had to chase us outdoors so many times, just to have peace and quiet from his incessant questions as she cooked." Mighty: "I JUS WANTED TO HELP"

As the Bakool boys begin a light-hearted argument, something that would usually be a source of banter for Mokutan to witness, she is instead silent and lost in thought, absent-mindedly staring up between the two bickering heads. Mystic: "Well, you didn't help very much at all. It seemed quite annoying, in fact...!" Mighty: "I was just a boy, do you truly still hold this against me...?!"

The same shot as last, but zoomed in on Mokutan, whose eyelids have also focused a tiny bit. This discussion seems to have struck a personal chord with her.

A kitchen knife is held above a counter of produce in the hand of a metal prosthetic arm, presumably the one attached to Mokutan. Warm light casts a shadow of the knife's tip over a nearby bag of flour. Mokutan's face and body are mostly out of frame.

The aforementioned ingredients seem to have been put in a skillet, which Mokutan is now mixing into whatever had been simmering before, her head still just out of view.
