Bird Sales in NYC Pet Shops Now on the Chopping Block New legislation in the New York City Council would ban the sale of birds in pet stores citywide.

When I viewed the old German film #ChristianeF in a theater on Sunday, a moment that stayed with me was her transient effort to save a caged #bird from an apartment in which a friend had just overdosed. I oppose #zoos and favor this bill to #BanBirdSales in #NYC retail shops.
