Pair of painted beauty butterflies, upperwings are bright blue with pink area near the middle of the forewings resting on foliage with a few brown bees. Species is Batesia hypochlora hypoxantha Nymphalidae. One of the most strikingly bright and bold colored butterflies in the rainforest.

A couple yellow spots show on the underside of the forewings. Body is streaked or specked with green and yellow patches of scales. It has a large eye and a long proboscis that is extended out and back under the body.
A large pumpkin orange caterpillar with black spotted bands on each segment that sprout a ring of black spines. Two large branched black spines project forward from the anterior. Species is Panacea prola, the red flasher.
