Ok, so...originally, plans were to do #LilyCAT next week as a bridge between #BattleAthletesVictory and what we ARE gonna show next week as it was still in space, but ultra violent, as a way to ease in to it...but I wanted to do it on Halloween, so...ramming speed.
Do you prefer a heroine who loves being one, knows almost what she's doing, and only has to overcome the odds in front of her? OVA.
Do you prefer a heroine who has to discover herself, use the power of her friends, and realize the power within? TV. #BattleAthletesVictory
...but the OVA was more of a drama with bits of comedy and a more somber bittersweet ending, but still a satisfying one.

The answer is...eh, depends on your mood, really.
Sure, Victory told more of a complete story, but that was geared even more towards comedy than the OVA with a more happier ending... #BattleAthletes #BattleAthletesVictory
The endings for both are satisfactory and have that nice balance of drama and comedy to make you wanna root for the girls and see everything all the way through.

You'd think both the OVA and the anime would be one of those fanservicy animes about girl athletes given the lesbianism and the uniforms when in reality it's not. It's a great sports anime with positive messages of going for it and never giving up. #BattleAthletesVictory
And that was #BattleAthletesVictory, it, along with the OVA #BattleAthletes is still an underappreciated hidden gem. I didn't know it existed until @kaiserbeamz.bsky.social review on Kyoto Video, it's what made me seek it out.

-Tarnya...reminds you that this is Japan's POV of Africa.

-Akari's now teen mom ...refusing to go back to normal, both in age and personality...living with Akari and her dad. Ew.
-Ichan & Kris in a love triangle with Akari...again, one of the Tenchi creators was on staff.

Meanwhile, Tomino keeps trash talking...except nobody's listening as they're all talking to their innerselves...
