On this day in 1890, was the #WoundedKneeMassacre, #BattleOfWoundedKnee, where nearly 300 #Lakota people, led by #ChiefSpottedElk, were slaughtered by soldiers of the #USArmy. Nearly 300 Lakota people were killed & 51 wounded; men, women and children.
