The invasive alien Pumpkinseed (Lepomis gibbosus) is also abundant in Lac de Sainte-Croix. Pretty though it is, it should only be in eastern USA.
But also good numbers of the native Perch, including fry, in the lake. Tho' it seemed sadly silty. #pumpkinseed #Bauduen #Provence 2/6

Shocked to find Lac de Sainte-Croix infested with high densities of invasive alien Round Goby (Neogobius melanostomus) - though to be fair, it is a cute fish with its little dorsal fin spot. Seeing it in its native Black & Caspian Seas would be fine. #MySwim #Bauduen #Var 1/6
